BARCODE VS RFID

Bar Code and RFID are two technologies and hence can be applied in different areas. The major difference is the line-of-sight technology. Bar Codes need scanner to read. On the other hand, RFID can be read as long as the tags are within the field of radio waves emitted by readers.

Will Bar Code be replaced by RFID?

In the near future, barcode may not be replaced by RFID as bar Code are inexpensive and effective for certain tasks. However, RFID and bar codes will coexist for many years.
